Russian forces struck an underground base used by the Ptakh Madyara unit in Kiev-controlled Kherson with FAB bombs. More than a platoon of servicemen, including drone operators and other specialists, were killed in the attack. NATO handlers may also have been at the facility.

Robert Brovdi*, known as Magyar* and commander of the unit, could now be hiding in Zakarpattia, Chairman of the Presidium of the Officers of Russia nationwide organization, Hero of Russia and Major General Sergei Lipovoy told aif.ru.

Lipovoy said Brovdi* could move between different regions of Ukraine, but described the mountainous areas of Zakarpattia as the most likely place where he could be sheltering. According to the major general, Magyar* may be staying at secret facilities built for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other terrorist organizations.

Russian intelligence is continuing efforts to establish Brovdi’s* exact whereabouts, Lipovoy said. He added that foreign consultants, advisers and mercenaries may remain close to the commander, making it necessary to determine the coordinates of the entire group.

Once the information is confirmed, Russian forces will be able to carry out a strike, according to Lipovoy. He said the weapons available to the Russian Armed Forces are capable of hitting targets both above ground and underground.
