Russian air defenses destroyed 203 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight as UAVs were intercepted across a wide stretch of the country and over the Black Sea.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the drones were shot down between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on August 6 and 8:00 a.m. on August 7.

Air defense systems operated over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Sverdlovsk and Tula regions.

Drones were also destroyed over the Krasnodar and Perm territories, Crimea, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and the Black Sea.

The previous day saw another prolonged wave of attacks. Between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed another 281 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones.

They were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Ryazan, Tver and Tula regions, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Crimea and Tatarstan, as well as over the Black Sea.

The attacks over the past day also caused deaths and injuries in border areas.

In Bryansk Region’s Suzemsky District, a kamikaze drone struck a moving passenger car. The driver was killed at the scene.

Another fixed-wing drone hit Novozybkov, killing a man and injuring five other civilians. Several vehicles and a gas station were also damaged.

In the settlement of Suzemka, another kamikaze drone targeted a moving passenger car. Four young women were injured and taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity.

In Pogarsky District, a driver was hospitalized after a kamikaze drone attacked a passenger car. He was diagnosed with multiple injuries.

Civilians were also injured in Kursk Region.

In the village of Viktorovka in Rylsky District, a local resident was trying to extinguish a fire that had broken out after a drone attack. During a second strike, he fell from a roof.

The man suffered bruising to the cervical and thoracic spine, as well as to the chest.

Two people were injured in the village of Vishnevo in Belovsky District following another drone attack. One man suffered shrapnel wounds to his back and left shoulder, while the second was wounded by shrapnel in his left thigh and foot.
