The battlefield situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in northeastern Kharkov Region is deteriorating rapidly, with the most difficult conditions developing beyond Volchansk, according to the Telegram channel Voyennaya Khronika.

The channel says the problems facing Ukrainian units in this sector extend beyond the Bely Kolodez area. A Ukrainian force grouping holding positions north of Prikolotnoye could find itself in an operational encirclement.

Voyennaya Khronika noted that the Ukrainian command, then headed by AFU Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky, had previously tried to maintain control over northern and northeastern Kharkov Region. Significant manpower and material resources were committed to the effort, but Ukrainian forces failed to hold Volchansk.

According to the channel, Russian forces taking control of this key defensive hub became the starting point for further developments in the sector. Voyennaya Khronika assesses that Ukrainian troops have been unable to reverse the dynamics that emerged afterward.
