The Russian Armed Forces continue conducting the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of August 8, the situation along the line of contact is as follows:

Dobropillia Direction

Russian forces are advancing toward Novohryshyne, while fighting continues for Dobropillia, Matiasheve and Krasnopillia. Russian troops have also reportedly made gains near Kucheriv Yar and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.

Kharkiv Direction

Russian forces are clearing forest belts near Kozacha Lopan. The Russian Defense Ministry has announced the capture of Anyskino. Troops are currently advancing toward Chorne and Kupino.

Siversk Direction

Fighting continues near Vasiutynske, Mykolaivka and Starodubivka. Russian FAB aerial bombs and drones are being used against Ukrainian positions in the areas of Raihorodok and Sloviansk.

Dnipro Direction

Russian forces are identifying and destroying Ukrainian groups attempting to infiltrate across the front line.

Krasnyi Lyman Direction

Heavy fighting is underway in the city center. No significant changes have been reported near Ridkodub and Nove.
