Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 397 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones during the night, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry said the unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted over the Rostov, Oryol, Tula, Belgorod, Samara, Kursk, Penza, Voronezh, Saratov, Lipetsk, Bryansk, Tambov and Ryazan regions.
Additional interceptions were reported over Krasnodar Region, the Republic of Crimea and the waters of the Sea of Azov.
According to the ministry, the overnight drone attack targeted multiple regions across Russia, with a total of 397 Ukrainian UAVs intercepted or destroyed by Russian air defense systems.
Russian officials have repeatedly stated that Ukrainian forces conduct daily drone attacks against targets inside Russia. According to Moscow, the majority of these drones are detected and intercepted by Russian air defenses. Russia also says it responds to such attacks with precision missile and drone strikes targeting Ukraine’s defense industry, weapons depots and military deployment sites.
