Russian forces have advanced approximately 50–55 square kilometers on the Orikhiv axis in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Region over the past 24 hours. The newly secured area stretches west of Orikhiv from the vicinity of Nesterianka in the south to Pavlivka in the north.

According to available reports, the advance followed intensive strikes by Russian Aerospace Forces using guided aerial bombs equipped with UMPK kits. After sustaining significant personnel and equipment losses, Ukrainian forces reportedly abandoned the right flank of their defensive positions around Orikhiv.

The retreating Ukrainian grouping is said to consist of the remnants of two brigades. One of them had previously operated as a motorized formation but reportedly lost much of its equipment as a result of Russian air strikes, significantly reducing its mobility.

Russian drone operators continue striking withdrawing Ukrainian units in the area around Pavlivka, north of Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky, further complicating the retreat and increasing losses.

According to the reports, the Ukrainian defensive flank on the Orikhiv direction is effectively collapsing. If Russian forces continue their advance, they could cut the remaining western supply route serving Ukrainian troops in Orikhiv.

With the eastern logistics route near Lyubytske already reported to be severed, further Russian advances could create the conditions for the complete encirclement of Ukrainian forces in Orikhiv.
