Russian forces continue their military operations in Ukraine. As of August 7, the situation across the main sectors of the front was reported as follows.
In the Sumy sector, fighting continues around Ulanovo and Volnaya Sloboda, as well as in Pisarevka, Maryino and Khoten.
In the Kharkov sector, Russian forces are advancing through the central part of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. In Kupyansk itself, they are expanding their zone of control in the northwestern districts of the city.
The Russian army has taken the village of Ivanovka, while fighting continues for Vasilyevka. Russian troops are also widening what they describe as a security zone and narrowing the opening of a tactical encirclement involving Ukrainian units. From the direction of Aniskino, Russian forces are advancing toward Olkhovatka.
In the Krasny Liman sector, clashes continue in Starodubovka and near Nikolayevka, while fighting is also under way for Vasyutinskoye.
On the Konstantinovka axis, Russian forces are developing their offensive toward Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka. Battles are continuing near Dolgaya Balka and Roskoshnoye.
In the Dobropolye sector, Russian troops have reached the eastern outskirts of Dobropolye and Annovka.
In the Gulyaypole sector, fighting is taking place near Novoselovka. Farther north along the front, Russian forces are attacking northwest of Zarnitsa.
The situation remains difficult in Primorskoye on the Zaporozhye front. Russian forces are fighting near Stepnogorsk and on the southern outskirts of Novoyakovlevka, while also expanding their zone of control north of Malye Shcherbaki.
Russian troops have begun an assault on Orekhov and are taking new positions in the western part of Malaya Tokmachka.
