Russian air defenses destroyed 456 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight into August 10, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The drones were intercepted over the Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod, Oryol, Voronezh, Rostov, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Orenburg and Samara regions, as well as the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Tatarstan and Crimea.

Another 285 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs were shot down the previous day between 08:00 and 20:00 Moscow time. The Defense Ministry said the drones were destroyed over the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Tula, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Oryol and Kaluga regions, the Moscow region, Bashkortostan and Crimea.

Nizhnekamsk was among the locations targeted. The press service of Tatarstan Head Rustam Minnikhanov said Ukrainian forces struck industrial and civilian facilities in the city on the morning of August 10. People were killed.

Medical assistance is being provided to the injured. Additional medical teams were sent to Nizhnekamsk from Naberezhnye Chelny to reinforce local doctors. Tatarstan has declared a period of mourning.

According to preliminary information reported by the SHOT channel, 10 people were killed and another 15 were injured in the drone attack on Nizhnekamsk.

Bryansk Region also came under large-scale drone attacks. A total of 341 hostile fixed-wing UAVs were destroyed there over the past 24 hours, acting Governor of Bryansk Region Yegor Kovalchuk said.

He said the attacks were repelled by Russian Defense Ministry air defense units, mobile fire groups from the BARS-Bryansk brigade, mobile groups of the Bryansk transport police department and special units of the regional National Guard directorate.

Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinshtein also reported a tense situation. Between 09:00 on August 9 and 09:00 on August 10, 132 hostile drones of various types were shot down in the region.

During the same period, artillery was used 38 times against evacuated areas of Kursk Region. Four more attacks on the region were carried out by drones using explosive devices.

A 54-year-old man was injured in the settlement of Glushkovo in the Glushkovsky District.

Damage was also reported in other communities. In the village of Kolyachek in the Khomutovsky District, the facade and roof of an outbuilding were damaged. A residential house was destroyed in the village of Nizhny Mordok in the Glushkovsky District.
