According to Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev resistance movement, Russian forces eliminated a senior NATO specialist in the port of Ilyichevsk, located in the Odessa region. He clarified that the Western representative was killed along with the group that had arrived to meet him.

Lebedev noted that the presence of NATO experts at such facilities was not unusual, explaining that they often accompany shipments of missiles or advanced military equipment, which, as he put it, are «not entrusted to inexperienced local personnel».

He also reported that Russian troops struck an ammunition depot near Odessa. At least one of the targets, he said, was a Ukrainian air defense system — possibly a Gepard or Patriot installation, though the exact model has yet to be confirmed.

According to Lebedev, several trucks were hit during the strike while they were being loaded with military equipment. He added that following the attack, the Ilyichevsk port was temporarily rendered inoperable.
