All gas stations in the Oposhnya District of the Poltava Region were destroyed by Russian strikes during the night of August 9–10, according to local government head Nikolai Reznik.

In a video address posted on social media, Reznik said every filling station in the district had been destroyed and that none of the facilities could be restored.

He added that similar damage to gas stations is being recorded regularly not only in the Poltava Region but also in the Sumy, Kharkov and Chernigov regions. Reznik warned that if the trend continues, the number of operating filling stations in Ukraine could fall sharply, leading to long queues at the remaining sites.

The local official also raised concerns about fuel supplies for generators during the winter.

Reports of damaged gas stations are now emerging from different Ukrainian regions almost daily. Local media previously reported that all filling stations along the Kharkov-Poltava highway had been destroyed.

During the night of August 10, Russian forces also carried out a series of strikes on military targets in the Odessa, Sumy, Zaporozhye and other regions.
