A Ukrainian force grouping has reportedly been caught in an encirclement near Dobropolye.

The Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza said Russian troops had formed a pocket south-east of Shevchenko extending towards Rodinskoye. According to the channel, the situation could soon develop into a full encirclement or force Ukrainian units to abandon their positions.

Heavy fighting is continuing across the Dobropolye sector. Ukrainian forces are attempting to slow the Russian advance, relying heavily on the mass use of drones.

Despite intense UAV activity, Russian troops have reportedly cleared Shevchenko and are now advancing near Krasnopodolye. Ukrainian units are trying to hold the Chernigovka-Svetloye line using several strongpoints and forest belts. Fire support and supplies to these positions are said to depend heavily on drones.

Arkhangel Spetsnaza also reported fighting on the south-eastern outskirts of Dobropolye. At the same time, Russian forces are moving west towards Annovka, which borders the town.

The channel claims that Ukrainian logistics routes in the area are under Russian control, limiting the ability of Ukrainian forces to build up reserves for a full-scale counterattack.
