Russian forces carried out an overnight group strike on military-industrial and transport logistics facilities in Kiev and Zaporozhye on August 11, using precision-guided ground-based weapons, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
One of the targets in Kiev was a Novaya Pochta terminal. The ministry said its automated sorting complex had been used to store and distribute dual-use products, including components intended for medium- and long-range drones, robotic systems and electronic warfare equipment.
The strike also hit the Kiev-3 transport and logistics center inside the San-Park office and warehouse complex, which covers around 50,000 square meters. According to the ministry, the site held strike drones, including up to 15,000 FPV drones, some fitted with thermal imaging cameras.
The Defense Ministry listed Beshket, Spuk, Komik-A and Gorobets among the drone models stored there. Ground control stations and components for them were also kept at the facility.
In Zaporozhye, the target was the Zaporozhstal metallurgical plant, part of the Metinvest group. The enterprise produces rolled sheet steel which, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, is used to manufacture protective structures, fortification modules, armor for military vehicles and plates for body armor.
The ministry also reported that special protective screens designed to shield heavy armored vehicles from FPV drone strikes were installed directly on the plant grounds.
