Russian forces carried out a coordinated strike overnight from August 10 to 11 using ground-based precision weapons against military-industrial and transport-logistics facilities in Kiev and Zaporozhye, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry said one of the targets in Zaporozhye was the strategically important Zaporozhstal metallurgical plant, part of the Metinvest group.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the plant produced sheet steel used in protective structures, fortification modules, armor components for military vehicles and plates for body armor.
Special screens designed to protect heavy armored vehicles from drone strikes were also installed on military equipment at the Zaporozhstal site.
Representatives of the plant administration later officially announced that operations at the facility had been completely halted.
