Russian forces continue their military operation in Ukraine. As of August 12, the situation across the main front-line sectors is developing as follows.

In the Sumy sector, Ukrainian forces continue counterattacks near Mogritsa. Fighting is also under way around Ulanovo, Volnaya Sloboda and in the Khoten area.

On the Kharkov axis, Russian troops are fighting on the approaches to Petropavlovka. Battles are continuing for Olkhovatka, Dolzhanka and Chernoye. The Russian army has also taken control of Shcherbakovka.

In the Krasny Liman sector, Russian forces are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks near Redkodub. Farther south, on the Seversk section, Russian troops are advancing around Malinovka and Vasyutinskoye.

On the Konstantinovka axis, fighting is continuing near Ilyinovka, Ivanopolye and Nikolaypolye. Russian forces have also advanced towards Stenki, while clashes persist on the stretch between Konstantinovka and Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka.

In the Krasnoarmeysk sector, Russian troops are moving forward near Matyashevo. Heavy fighting is reported around Vodyanskoye and Krasnopodolye, while Ukrainian forces are counterattacking near Toretskoye.

On the Gulyai-Polye axis, battles are taking place west of Novosyolovka. The Russian army has taken Novoye Pole, located two kilometres north of the village of Kommunarovka.

In the Zaporozhye sector, intense fighting is under way in the southern districts of Stepnogorsk and near Primorskoye. Russian troops have advanced around Pavlovka, while clashes are also continuing near Malye Shcherbaki.
