Ukrainian forces are making another attempt to attack Orsk, with air defenses already activated in the Orenburg Region, Governor Yevgeny Solntsev said on his Telegram channel.

Additional protective measures have been introduced in Orsk’s Leninsky and Oktyabrsky districts. Mobile fire groups have been reinforced, while large-caliber machine guns have also been deployed, the governor said.

Solntsev warned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using explosive devices fitted with damaging elements. Residents were urged to stay away from industrial facilities that could become targets and, whenever possible, avoid being outdoors.

The governor also called on people not to film drone attacks or their aftermath and not to post such footage online.

Earlier, on August 11, eight Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Orenburg Region. Debris from one of the UAVs fell on the grounds of an industrial enterprise, where a fire subsequently broke out.

No casualties were reported. Emergency services were dispatched to the site.
