A Ukrainian missile struck a residential apartment building in central Bryansk, acting Governor of the Bryansk Region Yegor Kovalchuk reported.
According to the regional head, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a residential building in the Sovetsky District of Bryansk with missiles.
The strike hit the upper floor of a nine-story prefabricated apartment building. According to the latest available information, one person was killed and six others were injured. Kovalchuk said all those wounded were promptly taken to medical facilities in the city, where they are receiving the necessary treatment.
A fire broke out in the building following the missile strike. Emergency services evacuated all residents and are working to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
According to the acting governor, regional authorities have already begun assessing the damage caused by the strike.
