Russia’s Defense Ministry has warned Ukrainian troops of a coming winter «freeze,» linking the prospect to Russian strikes on infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The ministry made the remark in a post on Max while commenting on the results of the overnight attack. The publication was accompanied by an image captioned «Like Snow on Your Head,» showing three Geran-4 Seeker strike kamikaze drones in flight.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces struck a Ukrainian Armed Forces logistics center in Brovary, Kiev Region, a railway station at the port of Izmail, and two sea tugs during the night.

Footage of the strike in Brovary was later discussed by military correspondent Alexander Kots. He said the objective-control video showed a Geran-4 Seeker approaching the target before a fire broke out on the site.

Kots described the facility as a major logistics hub through which supplies from Europe were delivered to the Ukrainian retail chains ATB, Auchan, Silpo, Metro and Novus. Around 1,000 people worked at the site, according to his account.

The military correspondent said discussion had already begun in Ukraine over possible shortages at those retailers. He also pointed to Rozetka, whose largest automated warehouse in Brovary had previously been destroyed. According to Kots, the company’s owners have already acknowledged that the business will have to be scaled back and that it will not be possible to preserve jobs for all employees.

Kots suggested that Ukrainian television would once again portray the struck facility solely as a civilian warehouse. He argued that logistics centers of this kind are also used to deliver, store and sort drones arriving from the European Union.
