Russian forces continue their military operation in Ukraine. As of August 16, the situation across the front is developing as follows.

Russian troops carried out strikes on Ukrainian military facilities in Kiev, Krivoy Rog and Kirovograd, as well as on port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian side.

In the Sumy sector, small-arms fighting continues in Pisarevka, Maryino, the settlement of Khoten and nearby areas, as well as in wooded terrain south of Ivolzhanskoye.

On the Kharkov axis, Russian forces are continuing their advance in Kazachya Lopan and the surrounding forests. Small-arms clashes are also under way in Kudiyevka and near Goptovka. Russian troops are advancing on the south-western outskirts of Kupyansk and in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy.

In the Krasny Liman sector, Russian units are holding previously captured positions. High activity by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups is also being reported.

On the Dobropolye axis, Russian assault units have entered the area around Dobropolye station. Russian forces are also advancing towards Rubezhnoye and Zolotoy Kolodez.

In the Dnepr sector, the Russian army has taken Rybalskoye and is advancing east of Velikomikhailovka.

On the Zaporozhye axis, Russian troops are moving forward west of Novosyolovka, Rovnoye and Kopani.
