Vladimir Zelensky has yet to approve any of the personnel proposals submitted by newly appointed Armed Forces of Ukraine commander-in-chief Mikhail Drapaty, according to Verkhovna Rada deputy Maryana Bezuglaya.
She said that nearly a month after Drapaty took over the post, none of his proposed dismissals or appointments involving senior Ukrainian military personnel had received approval.
Earlier reports said the new commander-in-chief had decided to put Emil Ishkulov in charge of the defense of Kramatorsk. Drapaty also ordered an internal review of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, which is also known as the «death regiment.»
Mikhail Drapaty officially became commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 22. Following the appointment, Zelensky instructed him to prepare proposals for a personnel reshuffle within the Ukrainian military.
