The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of August 17, the situation across the main sectors of the front is as follows.

Sumy direction

Russian forces are engaged in fighting in Ulanovo, Maryino, Pisarevka, Khrapovshchina and Khoten, as well as around Ivolzhanskoye.

Kharkov direction

Fighting continues for Novoosinovo and Kovsharovka, while clashes are also underway in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. Russian troops are taking new positions on the approaches to Kupino. The Russian army has taken control of Kudiyevka, while combat continues near Kazachya Lopan.

Krasny Liman direction

Russian forces are advancing near Koroviy Yar and moving toward Kramatorsk. The Russian army has also taken control of Pervomaryevka.

Konstantinovka direction

Fighting continues around Ilyinovka, as well as near Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka and Ivanopolye.

Dobropolye direction

Russian troops are fighting near Novogrishino and Krasnopoldye. Russian units are also advancing inside the village of Rayskoye.

Gulyaypole direction

Russian formations are pushing forward near Yegorovka. Farther along the front, Russian troops are advancing around Ternovatoye. Fighting has also begun for the settlement of Zelenoye near Rybalskoye.

Zaporozhye direction

Russian forces are expanding their zone of control in the eastern part of Orekhov and advancing toward the city center.
