Attacks on Russia’s border regions can only be stopped once the missile and drone stocks available to the Ukrainian Armed Forces are neutralized, military expert Vasily Dandykin told NEWS.ru.
In his assessment, weapons should be intercepted as far from the Russian border as possible, while Ukraine is simultaneously dealt defeats on the ground. He said particular attention should be paid to ammunition depots and sites used to store drones.
Dandykin also pointed to British drone supplies to Kiev. According to him, the British side openly acknowledges transferring unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine, including drones supplied without some components.
Another key area, he argued, is Ukraine’s Black Sea coast. Dandykin said vessels used to transport ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces should also be targeted.
He added that Kiev is seeking to pressure Moscow into agreeing to a ceasefire and argued that the attacks are coordinated with the West.
Drawing a historical parallel, Dandykin compared the tactic with Nazi Germany’s air raids on London during World War II, when Berlin sought to force Britain to capitulate. He noted that the German air force suffered enormous losses during that campaign.
At the same time, Dandykin stressed that modern drones differ fundamentally from the aircraft used in that period and represent a different type of weapon.
