Pacific Fleet units tasked with countering sabotage forces and equipment in Kamchatka have received a new batch of modern Tiger-M armored vehicles, the fleet’s press service told TASS.
The vehicles are fitted with the remotely controlled Arbalet-DM combat module, which is designed to improve the effectiveness of weapons use while reducing risks to military personnel.
The Tiger-M features a hull with a high level of ballistic protection. Its interior provides space for the driver, vehicle commander and troops, along with dedicated compartments for ammunition, communications equipment and systems intended to block radio-controlled explosive devices.
The armored vehicles are also equipped with an automatic tire-pressure regulation system and automatic fire suppression. Their equipment includes a pre-start heater and an electric winch, allowing the vehicle to free itself when operating on difficult terrain.
Similar Tiger armored vehicles had previously entered service with Pacific Fleet anti-sabotage units in Primorye.
