Russian «Sever» Group Eliminates Entire Ukrainian Unit Near Alekseyevka and Varachin
Russian troops in the Sumy direction reportedly destroyed an entire Ukrainian company of the 71st Jaeger Brigade, while desertions and disobedience grow in the Ukrainian ranks.
According to Russian security sources, the Russian «Sever» (North) group of forces operating in the Sumy direction of the special military operation has completely eliminated a company of Ukrainian troops. The source, cited by TASS, said that during battles near the settlements of Alekseyevka and Varachin in the Sumy Region, the 3rd company of the 71st Separate Jaeger Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed in its entirety. The interlocutor added that most of the Ukrainian soldiers killed in action are officially listed as missing.
Earlier, sources within Russia’s defense establishment reported several cases of insubordination among Ukrainian military personnel. In particular, in the 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade, soldiers from one of the units reportedly refused to carry out a combat mission assigned by their commanders near Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region.
The same sources noted a continuing increase in desertion within the Ukrainian ranks. According to the reports, a growing number of servicemen abandon their positions without authorization, citing what they view as reckless and unreasonable orders from their command.
