According to Vladimir Konstantinov, head of the Crimean parliament, the Western strategy of using Ukraine against Russia is nearing its end.
Konstantinov said Ukraine has already suffered enormous damage as a result of the policies pursued by the Kyiv authorities, adding that some of those losses cannot be reversed.
He also pointed to the difficult battlefield situation and continuing manpower shortages. In his assessment, Ukrainian recruitment centers are increasingly searching for new men to send to the front as available personnel decline.
Ukraine has recently faced shortages of troops across the Armed Forces. Yegor Chernev, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, also said the country’s air-defense situation had become the worst since the conflict began.
Vladimir Zelensky has said that Ukraine’s stockpile of interceptor missiles has fallen by 2.5 times.
Earlier, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said Western countries were using various tools, including Ukraine, in their confrontation with Russia.
