Ukrainian strike drones used a new flight route during the large-scale attack on Russia overnight on August 19, according to the authors of the Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza (AS).

The channel reported that some of the UAVs were heading toward Russia’s northern regions, including the Vologda Region. Previously, drones flying in that direction had passed through the Novgorod and Tver regions. This time, however, air defense activity indicated that they were moving through the Yaroslavl Region.

At the same time, another group of drones launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was moving toward Bashkiria. According to AS, they followed a route along Russia’s southern regions that had already been used in earlier attacks.

The channel’s authors also suggested that another strike on roughly the same areas could follow as early as the next night, pointing to the lack of significant results from the latest raid.

During the same overnight attack on August 19, Ukrainian forces also attempted to strike Ufa with drones. Local authorities reported that six UAVs were heading toward industrial facilities in the city. Four were shot down, while another fell inside an industrial zone and caused a small fire.
