Alexander Kinshchak, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for the Middle East and North Africa, said Israel has assured Moscow that reports of weapons deliveries to Kyiv are not true.

According to Kinshchak, Russian officials discuss such claims with the Israeli side through different channels and receive assurances that the reports do not reflect reality. He added that Israel continues to maintain its stated position on the sensitive issue.

Kinshchak also said the conflict in Ukraine and the escalation in the Middle East have affected relations between Russia and Israel. At the same time, Israel has not formally joined anti-Russian sanctions despite pressure from its Western partners.

The economic relationship, however, remains more complicated. Some Israeli companies have kept a low profile in dealings with Moscow because of concerns over possible secondary sanctions.

Despite these difficulties, Russia and Israel continue to maintain direct political contacts.
