Russian forces carried out a large-scale overnight strike on targets in Kiev and the Kiev Region on August 20, hitting defense industry facilities, warehouses and transport and logistics infrastructure.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attack involved high-precision ground-, air- and sea-based weapons, along with long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.

In Kiev, one of the targets was the Fire Point LLC facility, where components for medium- and long-range attack drones were produced. The site was also used to assemble and store boosters employed in Flamingo cruise missiles, the ministry said.

Another strike hit a trade and warehouse facility operated by Ukrspetssistems. According to the Russian military, the site manufactured components for attack drones, carried out large-unit assembly of fixed-wing UAVs and stored finished products.

The Antonov aviation enterprise was also struck. The Defense Ministry said the facility produced An-196 Lyuty long-range drones and was also involved in the development and manufacture of various types of manned aircraft.

A munitions warehouse in the Ukrainian capital was among the other targets. The Russian ministry said the site stored M-900 thermobaric aerial bombs, anti-tank mines and ammunition for Baba-Yaga-type drones.

Several facilities in the Kiev Region were also attacked. In Martusovka, the target was the Zamler Group transport and logistics center. According to the ministry, the site was used to store and distribute dual-use products, including items intended for the production of medium- and long-range drones, robotic systems and electronic warfare equipment.

In Brovary, a fuel and lubricants depot was hit. The facility held up to 8,000 cubic meters of fuel intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The strikes followed attacks on the evening of August 19 against warehouses containing military property at the ports of Chernomorsk and Yuzhny.
