According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the night of October 11, the country’s on-duty air defense units detected and destroyed forty-two Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian regions.

The ministry stated that between 11:00 p.m. on October 10 and 7:00 a.m. on October 11, air defense systems intercepted and eliminated forty-two Ukrainian drones of aircraft type. Nineteen of these were shot down over Volgograd Region, fifteen were destroyed in the airspace of Rostov Region, three over Ulyanovsk Region, two over Voronezh Region, two over the Republic of Bashkortostan, and one drone was neutralized above Saratov Region.

The ministry reminded that Ukrainian forces continue daily attempts to attack civilian, industrial, and energy facilities on Russian territory using unmanned aerial vehicles. The country’s air defense systems, as stated in the report, effectively repel these assaults, detecting and destroying the majority of kamikaze drones launched by Ukrainian troops.

In response to Ukrainian attacks, the Russian army carries out systematic, large-scale, and high-precision strikes against Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, depots containing weapons and military equipment, communication centers, energy facilities, command posts, as well as the deployment sites of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenary units.
