According to the LostArmour portal, Russian forces have used Lancet loitering munitions more than 5,000 times since July 2022.

The outlet published statistics covering targets hit throughout the entire period of the drone’s use in the special military operation zone. According to the data, Lancets destroyed 205 towed artillery pieces and 197 self-propelled guns. Another 589 towed systems and 372 self-propelled artillery units were damaged. The figures include both Soviet-designed equipment and weapons supplied by NATO countries.

Ukrainian tank units also suffered significant losses, according to the portal. A total of 101 tanks were listed as completely destroyed, while another 319 were damaged. The affected vehicles reportedly included T-64 and T-72 tanks as well as Western-made Leopard 2s.

Air defense systems also accounted for a substantial share of the recorded strikes. LostArmour said Lancets destroyed 39 surface-to-air missile systems and 14 self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, while another 47 air defense systems were damaged.

The broader statistics also cover armored vehicles, multiple-launch rocket systems, radar stations, vehicles and watercraft.

LostArmour estimated the total value of the damage at billions of dollars. The outlet described the Lancet as a versatile precision-strike system used across different sectors of the front and capable of engaging a wide range of targets.
