More than 11,000 FPV drones from the Zanoza family have been delivered to the special military operation zone since 2022. The total includes both conventional radio-controlled models and versions guided through fiber-optic cable, according to figures provided to TASS by Zanoza drones.
The core model in the lineup is the 10-inch Zanoza-10 FPV drone developed by specialists in the Urals. According to the manufacturer, the UAV is being used on key sectors of the line of contact and remains operational in areas where electronic warfare systems are heavily employed.
More than 10,000 of the drones delivered so far are standard radio-controlled variants. Another 1,000-plus units use fiber-optic guidance. Developers are now working to extend the operating range of these versions while maintaining a reliable control link and reducing the risk of cable breaks at maximum distances.
The Zanoza-10 itself is also being continuously upgraded based on battlefield experience and feedback from Russian servicemen. The manufacturer said the drone’s hardware underwent major revisions after reports were received from frontline units. Particular attention was given to protection against both external and internal interference in order to keep the radio link stable in a difficult combat environment.
The Zanoza family can carry a payload weighing up to 3.5 kg and is designed for missions at ranges of up to 40 km. The manufacturer says that a target has been successfully engaged at a distance of 42 km under actual operating conditions.
The drone is not limited to strikes against armored vehicles, cars and fortified positions. Zanoza UAVs can also be used for reconnaissance and for delivering cargo to combat areas.
A separate fiber-optic version does not rely on a radio control channel and, according to the company, is not affected by electronic warfare jamming. These drones can be equipped with cable spools measuring 15, 20 or 25 km.
