Russian forces carried out a nighttime group strike on transport and logistics infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the targets were facilities used to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In Kyiv, the strike targeted the Darnytsia depot. The Russian Defense Ministry described it as a key facility of Ukraine’s Southwestern Railway, where locomotives involved in transporting weapons for the Ukrainian military were serviced.

Another target was the Brovary logistics center in the Kyiv region, a major Nova Poshta sorting facility. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the site was used to store completed medium- and long-range drones as well as components for their production.

The strikes were not limited to the Kyiv region. Russian forces also attacked facilities at the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk and Yuzhny. According to the ministry, military equipment storage facilities and fuel tanks were targeted.

The Russian military used ground-launched precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles in the group strike.

The Russian Defense Ministry maintains that Russian forces target military infrastructure. The ministry also says its forces are capable of striking designated targets both in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine.
