Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of August 23, the situation along the front lines was reported as follows.

Russian forces struck ports and vessels said to be involved in transporting cargo for Ukrainian troops. Drone attacks on the Yuzhny port in the Odessa Region reportedly hit five fuel and lubricant storage tanks as well as port infrastructure.

Seversk Direction

Russian troops are expanding their area of control in Nikonorovka and advancing from the southeast and northeast. Fighting is continuing around the village.

Konstantinovka Direction

Russian forces are working to close a pocket west of Nikolaypolye. In Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka, Russian units are advancing in small assault groups.

Dobropolye Direction

Russian troops control most of Dobropolye. Fighting is underway near Novogrigorovka, while Russian units are attempting to consolidate positions beyond the Gruzskaya River.

Zaporozhye Direction

Fighting continues near Kamenskoye, Stepnogorsk and on the eastern flank toward Yegorovka. Positional battles are also taking place west of Kopani, Rovnoye and Lyubitskoye.
