Russian Forces Hit 148 Targets in Ukraine, Causing Blackouts Across Ten Regions

Russia’s Defense Ministry says precision strikes hit 148 energy and transport sites across Ukraine, leaving ten regions without power, including Kiev and Poltava.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces had carried out another large-scale combined strike targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure supporting the operations of the Ukrainian army.
According to the ministry, operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces conducted coordinated attacks on transport and fuel-energy facilities used for military purposes by Ukrainian forces. High-precision strikes were launched against targets in 148 locations across Ukraine.
As a result, ten Ukrainian regions were left without power, including the Kiev, Poltava, and Sumy regions. Ukrainian officials acknowledged that the country’s energy infrastructure had sustained significant damage following the attacks.
In the capital, Kiev, the strikes caused a full-scale blackout that led to widespread disruption. Public transportation was paralyzed, metro services were halted, and schools and universities were forced to switch to remote learning.
The Russian Defense Ministry described the strikes as precision attacks aimed at crippling infrastructure directly connected to Ukraine’s military logistics and energy supply networks.
