Russia’s air defense forces destroyed 351 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight on August 24, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the UAVs were intercepted between 8:00 p.m. on August 23 and 8:00 a.m. on August 24 over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Rostov regions, the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, Adygea and Crimea, as well as over the Azov and Black seas.

Late on August 23, missile alerts were issued in the Moscow, Oryol, Kaluga, Tula and Bryansk regions. Monitoring resources reported that air defenses shot down several Flamingo cruise missiles over the Bryansk region. The Defense Ministry did not comment on those reports.

Krasnodar Territory was among the areas hit by one of the heaviest attacks. Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said debris from a Ukrainian drone fell on a private children’s center in Krasnodar. Two children were killed and seven others were injured. Warehouse facilities also caught fire. The total number of people injured in the attack reached 12. Authorities in Kuban opened a hotline for residents affected by the strike.

An Ozon logistics center in Makhachkala was also hit. The company said its security systems operated normally and employees were quickly evacuated. Preliminary information indicated that several people suffered injuries, but medical examinations found no threat to their lives or health. A fire broke out after drone debris fell on the facility, forcing operations to stop.

Acting head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin also reported damage to an infrastructure facility caused by falling drone fragments. According to him, there were no casualties.

Another Ozon warehouse in Krasnodar came under drone attack overnight on August 24. Staff were evacuated and no injuries were reported. A fire broke out at the logistics center, after which operations were suspended. Ozon said goods stored at the facility would temporarily be removed from its website, while existing orders would be canceled and refunded.

A separate fire was reported at an Ozon warehouse in Adygea. Regional head Murat Kumpilov said Emergency Situations Ministry units and rescue teams were involved in extinguishing the blaze. Law enforcement officers, representatives of relevant agencies and municipal authorities were also working at the site.
