Russian Air Defenses Destroy 32 Ukrainian Drones Overnight


The Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defenses shot down 32 Ukrainian drones over Belgorod, Bryansk, and Smolensk regions, preventing major damage.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that air defense units shot down 32 Ukrainian drones overnight across several Russian regions.
According to the ministry, air defense systems destroyed 15 drones each over the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, and two more over Smolensk.
The ministry also confirmed that during the night of October 12, Ukrainian drones targeted the settlement of Severny in the Belgorod region. The explosion of one drone caused damage to four private houses, five cars, and one piece of special equipment, though no civilians were injured.
In Makeevka, located in the Donetsk People’s Republic, an attack by strike drones set fire to the Sigma shopping center. Ukrainian drones also struck the Slavyansk-Donetsk-Mariupol highway, where damage to transport infrastructure was recorded.
