Financial Times: Washington Aids Kiev in Strikes on Russian Energy Sites
Financial Times reports that the US has provided Ukraine with intelligence to strike key Russian energy facilities, including oil refineries, over recent months.
According to a report by the Financial Times, Washington has been assisting Kiev for several months in conducting strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure.
The publication, citing Ukrainian and American officials, stated that U.S. intelligence data allegedly enabled Ukraine to attack key Russian targets, including oil refineries. American intelligence, according to the report, has been helping Kiev determine the routes, altitude, and timing of its strikes.
While Ukraine independently selects the targets for its long-range attacks, Washington provides intelligence on the most vulnerable points of those sites.
Officials from Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said that Kiev intends to intensify and expand its strikes on Russian territory in the coming period.
