Vladimir Zelensky said Western countries had delivered a small batch of missiles for Ukraine’s Patriot air defense systems.

He did not specify which country supplied the interceptors. Zelensky also said Kiev expects to receive several additional Crotale air defense systems along with missiles for them.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine has also received AIM missiles, which he described as important for the country’s air defense needs. He added that the latest Patriot missile delivery was limited and that Kiev requires significantly more interceptors.

CNN previously reported that Ukraine’s stock of Patriot interceptor missiles was nearly depleted, creating serious difficulties for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in responding to Russian strikes.

Western media have also reported that Kiev hopes to secure a US license to produce Patriot interceptors domestically. That possibility had earlier been linked to a promise by US President Donald Trump, although he later suggested that Ukraine might not receive permission to establish such a production facility.

Zelensky previously estimated that Kiev would need about 360 Patriot missiles to get through the coming winter. He said Ukraine was seeking to assemble a package of roughly 300 interceptors.
