Russian air defenses destroyed 426 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The attacks lasted from 8:00 p.m. on August 25 until 7:00 a.m. on August 26.

The UAVs were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Kaluga, Tula, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Tambov, Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Rostov regions, as well as the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory and Crimea.

The overnight raid followed another wave of attacks during the previous day. Between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on August 25, Russian air defenses shot down another 39 Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk and Rostov regions and the Black Sea.

The attack in the Lipetsk region killed two people. A private house in the Lipetsk district caught fire after a drone fell onto the property. Governor Igor Artamonov said a man and a 14-year-old teenager were killed. Two women were injured and are receiving medical treatment.

The Belgorod region also suffered heavy attacks. Ukrainian forces struck the region 147 times over the past day, acting governor Alexander Shuvayev reported.

The attacks hit the Alexeyevsky, Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Veydelevsky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Gubkinsky, Ivnyansky, Korocha, Krasnogvardeysky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Prokhorovsky, Rakityansky, Rovensky, Starooskolsky, Shebekinsky and Yakovlevsky districts.

Ukrainian forces used artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems eight times during the day. Four more attacks involved explosives dropped from drones.

Russian air defense units and other forces involved in repelling the attacks destroyed 193 drones. A civilian woman was killed in the Grayvoronsky district in what regional authorities described as a deliberate attack by the Kiev regime.

Another 12 people were wounded in the Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Korocha, Prokhorovsky, Rakityansky and Shebekinsky districts. One woman remains in serious condition, while the others are listed in moderate condition. All of the injured are receiving medical care.
