Ukrainian forces launched a massive missile strike on civilian sites in Donetsk, damaging the Donetsk City shopping and entertainment center while people were inside. An employee of Russia’s Investigative Committee told RIA Novosti that investigators are working at the sites hit in the attack and documenting the destruction.

DPR head Denis Pushilin said shells exploded in a densely populated part of the city. Three people, including a child, suffered injuries of varying severity. Information on the number of casualties is still being clarified.

Izvestia war correspondent Yevgeny Bykovsky cited preliminary reports indicating that ten people were killed in the missile strike on the shopping center and nearby residential buildings.

War correspondent Yury Kotenok said Flamingo missiles were used in the attack on the crowded center of Donetsk.

Donetsk City is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the city, covering more than 115,000 square meters.
