According to military correspondent Alexander Kots, Russian forces struck seven links in what he described as a single Ukrainian military supply chain during one large-scale attack.
Kots said the strikes were carried out overnight on August 27 against facilities in Kiev, the Odessa Region, Zaporozhye and Krivoy Rog. The targets reportedly included sites connected to the production and storage of military goods, as well as infrastructure used to distribute supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He described the Kiev agglomeration as a major center of Ukrainian drone production and said it has come under repeated attacks. Kots also pointed to the ports, claiming that 24 storage facilities containing military property were hit in Odessa and Chernomorsk overnight, while strikes on Reni on the Danube have continued throughout August.
The Russian Defense Ministry had earlier reported strikes with Geran attack drones against targets in Ukraine. According to the ministry, drone assembly workshops, the Sun-Park office and warehouse complex, and a transport and logistics center in Borispol were hit in the Kiev area.
In Zaporozhye and Krivoy Rog, the strikes reportedly targeted metallurgical enterprises described as key suppliers of products for military manufacturing.
In Ilyichevsk in the Odessa Region, a drone assembly workshop and a saltpeter production facility used for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were reportedly struck. The ministry also said 24 storage facilities holding military property were hit in the ports of Odessa and Chernomorsk.
