According to military correspondent Dmitry Steshin, Ukrainian command has begun pulling its main forces out of the southern part of Dobropolye.
He said some units have already moved to Belozerskoye, beyond which lie the Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov Regions.
Steshin cited a drone operator familiar with the area as saying that Ukrainian troops had started withdrawing from southern Dobropolye toward the north, with the bulk of the forces relocating to Belozerskoye.
At the same time, Russian troops are continuing their advance on the Dobropolye direction. Steshin recalled that Russian forces had taken control of Nezhenka and Nikanorovka the previous day, expanding the area under their control around the town.
He said Russian units now need to consolidate their positions and straighten the front line south of Dobropolye. Steshin also described Ukrainian defenses in the town as a serious fortified hub with covered trenches and communication passages adapted to conditions of intensive drone warfare.
Despite those preparations, he believes Ukrainian forces will not be able to hold Dobropolye for long. One of the main factors, in his assessment, is the use of Russian FAB-3000 aerial bombs, which he says are capable of destroying heavily fortified positions.
Steshin also expects Ukrainian troops to avoid a prolonged defense of this sector and instead concentrate on strengthening positions in the Dnepropetrovsk Region.
