Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on targets in Kiev and the surrounding region on the evening of August 29, using Geran jet-powered drones.

According to the Telegram channel SHOT, the attack began at around 10 p.m. The outlet reported fires at weapons storage facilities in Kiev’s Podolsky and Goloseyevsky districts, while additional fires were recorded in the Obolonsky and Dneprovsky districts.

SHOT also said one of the strikes hit CHPP-5. Power and water supply disruptions were reported in several parts of the city afterward. At the same time, strikes were reported in other locations: a major logistics center caught fire in Pavlograd, while an oil refinery was hit in Kremenchug.

Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko later confirmed a strike on a warehouse in the Podolsky district. The city’s military administration said a fire broke out at the site following the impact.

A day earlier, Russian drones had also attacked the Fim Service transport and logistics center in the settlement of Chaiki. Another strike reportedly hit a warehouse used to store components for long-range Flamingo cruise missiles.

A separate strike targeted a logistics center in Kalinovka, where a customs terminal was located. According to the report, the facility was used to distribute military cargo supplied to Ukraine by its Western allies.
