Ukrainian political analyst Oleg Soskin, a former aide to Leonid Kuchma, said on his YouTube channel that large-scale Russian strikes on Kiev have become a serious ordeal not only for Ukrainian forces but also for Vladimir Zelensky.

According to Soskin, statements by the Ukrainian leadership about battlefield successes do not match the actual situation. He argued that the latest strikes exposed the vulnerability of Kiev’s air defense system and showed that Ukraine has so far been unable to effectively address the problem.

Soskin said the Russian attacks have already become systematic. In his assessment, Ukraine needs to strengthen its air defenses as quickly as possible, otherwise military facilities and infrastructure in Kiev will remain highly vulnerable to further strikes.

The Russian Defense Ministry said a day earlier that Russian forces had hit a Ukrainian warehouse in the settlement of Milaya. According to the ministry, the facility was used to store components for long-range FP-1 and FP-2 drones.

Russian military representatives have also repeatedly claimed that Ukrainian forces use civilian infrastructure to house warehouses and military personnel.
