Russian forces have sharply increased the pace of air strikes on Kiev and military infrastructure across Ukraine. Air raid alerts were sounded 45 times in the capital over four days, with attacks involving drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.

Military expert Vasily Dandykin told MK that Russian forces had shifted to a different approach in the Kiev Region. Rather than relying on isolated strikes, the attacks are now carried out in successive waves using several types of weapons. According to his assessment, this tactic is intended to place sustained pressure on Ukrainian air defenses and gradually drain their capacity.

Dandykin said another major objective is to destroy facilities supporting Ukrainian troops behind the front line. These include warehouses, repair sites and logistics hubs used to supply units and restore military equipment.

The intensity of the strikes remains high. Over the past day, 30 attack episodes were recorded in Kiev and the surrounding region. Among them were repeated strikes on warehouse facilities in Troeshchina and Borispol in the Kiev Region.

The Ukrainian side acknowledges serious difficulties with air defense. Kiev is also experiencing food shortages and disruptions to logistics. Experts expect the scale of the attacks to continue growing until the stated military objectives are achieved.
