Russian forces have begun using the heavy Kuzma bomber drone in the special military operation zone. The aircraft is designed to carry a substantial payload and can deploy different types of munitions.

Among its loadout options are paired munitions based on TM-62 anti-tank mines. Each mine weighs about 10 kilograms.

Footage released by the Sudoplatov channel shows the Kuzma dropping explosives on Ukrainian positions. The video was recorded in thermal imaging mode, indicating that the drone was operating at night. Each release is followed by a powerful blast, and the payload is strong enough to hit well-fortified dugouts.

Its high carrying capacity also allows the heavy UAV to be used against personnel, reinforced fortifications, long-term firing positions and engineering obstacles. This makes the drone particularly useful in areas where enemy defenses are densely built up.

The Kuzma is not the only heavy strike drone in service with Russian forces. Hexacopters known as Slon, Perun and Mangas were previously developed as a response to Ukraine’s Baba Yaga drones. These aircraft can be used both for bombing missions and for delivering essential supplies to Russian troops on the front line.
