Foreign nationals and members of diplomatic missions are still being advised to evacuate Kyiv. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the warning, originally issued in May, remains in effect and continues to be relevant.

The Russian Foreign Ministry links the recommendation to the Russian Armed Forces' transition to systematic and sustained strikes on Ukraine’s military infrastructure. Zakharova said the warning applies both to foreign nationals in the Ukrainian capital and to the entire diplomatic corps.

Russia describes its military actions as retaliatory. According to the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, they came in response to an increase in Ukrainian missile and drone attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Russian regions.

Zakharova’s statement came shortly after retired US Army Major Stanislav Krapivnik predicted that Russia could use several Oreshnik missiles in a single salvo. The military expert suggested that such a strike on Ukraine could serve as a «final warning» to European countries.

Krapivnik also claimed that Moscow had allegedly notified Washington in advance about the upcoming launch of several heavy ballistic missiles. However, the information presented does not establish a direct connection between the Russian Foreign Ministry’s evacuation warning for foreigners in Kyiv and the retired US officer’s prediction.
