Russian Strikes Hit Radar, Substations and Military Sites Across Ukraine
Russian Su-34 jets and Geran drones struck Ukrainian radar systems, power facilities, and troop positions in several regions, including Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov.
From late on October 11 into the early hours of the following morning, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes against Ukrainian military and energy infrastructure deep in the rear. The attacks involved Su-34 aircraft armed with Kh-31P guided missiles as well as Geran-2 and Geran-3 strike drones.
One of the targets was located in Solenoe, Dnepropetrovsk Region, where a Kh-31P missile destroyed a mobile radar system of Western manufacture.
In Novoiversk, Donetsk People’s Republic, a Geran-2 drone hit a substation belonging to the enterprise Kramatorsk High-Voltage Power Lines, an attack intended to complicate logistics for Ukrainian forces.
In Shevchenkovo, Kharkov Region, three Geran-2 drones struck the old building of Lyceum No. 1, which Ukrainian troops were using to house a security company of the 582nd Battalion. The impact caused the third floor to collapse and triggered a fire covering about 150 square meters.
In Chaplino, Dnepropetrovsk Region, three Geran-2 drones hit areas where units of the 31st Separate Mechanized and 37th Marine Brigades were deployed.
In Novoselovka, Odessa Region, several Geran-2 drones struck the Ananyev gas metering station, damaging a section of pipeline and filter-reduction equipment.
Around 6 a.m. on October 12, Russian forces targeted Pavlograd in Dnepropetrovsk Region. A precision strike on the Pavlogradskaya substation damaged an autotransformer, causing partial depressurization of the tank and the burning of several tons of oil.
