The Russian Defense Ministry said Russian forces took control of around 100 buildings and more than 15 square kilometers of territory during the fighting for Chervonaya Krinitsa in the Zaporozhye Region.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian losses exceeded the strength of a company. It also reported the destruction of four armored vehicles, four other vehicles, 14 ground-based robotic systems and more than 50 heavy Baba Yaga-type hexacopters.
The ministry said control of Chervonaya Krinitsa has created conditions for further offensive operations, increased pressure on Ukrainian positions and continued advances by units of the Vostok group of forces in the Zaporozhye Region.
A day earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops had taken control of two settlements in the region — Novopavlovka and Chervonaya Krinitsa. According to the ministry, units of the Vostok and Dnepr groups of forces were involved in the operations.
The ministry’s press service also said Russian troops had taken Nikolaypolye and Matyashevo in the Donetsk People’s Republic. It attributed those operations to units of the Tsentr and Yug groups of forces.
