Russian units from the Sever group advanced on several sections of the front in the Sumy and Kharkov regions over the past day. They also reported the first confirmed cases of cadets taking part in the fighting.

In the Sumy district, Sever assault units improved their positions across 23 sectors. The heaviest clashes remain concentrated near Kiyanitsa and Khoten, while Russian troops also moved forward around Ulanovo and Tolstodubovo in the Shostka district.

According to servicemen cited by the Severny Veter group’s Max channel, students from military departments and cadets have now been confirmed on the front line for the first time. They had been sent to active Ukrainian combat brigades for internships.

Russian forces also continued advancing on the Kharkov front. In Kazachya Lopan, assault groups moved up to 200 meters across two sectors during the day.

On the Volchansk axis, troops gained about 150 meters near Vasilevka. Heavy fighting is also underway on the Veliky Burluk axis around Sliznevo and Dolzhanka, where Russian assault units continue to push forward.

The report put confirmed Ukrainian losses over the past day at more than 210 personnel. Over 145 were recorded in the Sumy region and more than 65 in the Kharkov region.
