The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of September 2, the situation across the main sectors of the front is reported as follows.

Sumy Direction

Russian forces have advanced in the areas of Kiyanitsa and Khoten. In the Shostka District, Russian troops are also advancing near Ulanovo and Tolstodubovo.

Kharkov Direction

Heavy fighting continues in Kazachya Lopan and Goptovka. Russian forces are advancing near Sliznevo and Dolzhanka. Ukrainian troops are moving reserves, armored vehicles and drone crews into the area.

Krasny Liman Direction

Ukrainian forces are counterattacking from the south and near Drobyshevo. The Redkodub-Novoye sector remains unstable. Russian troops are seeking to improve their positions and tie down Ukrainian reserves.

Konstantinovka Direction

Russian forces have achieved tactical gains in Osikovo. Fighting is underway in Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka and near Nikolayevka in the Chasov Yar area.

Dobropolye Direction

The main clashes are taking place around Rubezhnoye, Annovka, Novonikolayevka, Staroandreyevka and Novoandreyevka. Ukrainian forces are counterattacking in an effort to prevent further Russian advances.

Gulyaypole Direction

Ukrainian troops are counterattacking near Lyubitskoye and Novosoloshino.

Zaporozhye Direction

Russian forces have taken control of Novopavlovka and Chervonaya Krinitsa. Fighting continues near Orekhov.
